Art in the web – step it up

For this activity we needed to make a web made of paper and a spider also made of paper, first step was to watch a video in order to make a web, next we needed to watch another video explaing how to make a spider out of a toilet roll but we didn’t have any so we made it out paper following the same exact steps.

3 Facts:

  • Did you know spider webs are really strong, sticky nets made of liquid silk that spiders use to catch food, build homes, and even travel.
  • Spider silk is lighter than cotton but stronger than steel and incredibly stretchy, like a mix of steel and rubber.
  • Some spiders eat their old webs to reuse the protein, saving energy and getting nutrients back.

Cybersmart

This week for Cybersmart I created a blackout poem.

First I made a copy of the story and chose words of my choice that made sense.

Next I made the page balck and higlited the words that weren’t needed.

Lastly I bloged.

I enjoyed making the story come together.

I did well at choosing words.

I need to improve on working faster.

Happy Halloween

This week I did something fun. I made a google drawing about HALLAWEEN the scrayiest day of the year. I also designed a creepy face for halloween.

Halloween is about having fun and celebrating the dead. Halloween began as a pagan holiday celebrating the lives of those who had passed. But for us kids Halloween is about trick or treating, it is where you knock on someone’s door and say “trick or treat” and they’ll give you candy or other sweats. Sadly I did not go trick or treating this year for other reasons.
