Time Traveller’s Podcast ft Samuel Marsden

For Literacy we have been using our Inquiry knowledge to help us write questions that we might have asked Reverend Samuel Marsden had we had the chance to meet him and talk to him. This was a fun activity because we took on the roles of Samuel Marsden and the Time Traveller’s Podcast team. It was like we experienced actually meeting him.

We learned that when you are recording a podcast expression is everything! It makes what we have to say more engaging.

Pepeha

LI: To let others know who I am so they can make connections to me and my place in the world.

Our challenge today was to write and record our pepeha to introduce ourselves. I found this a bit fun and challenging because we had to read our pepeha in morai and some of us strugle to say words in moari. Pepeha, Writing

Emotive Language

This week we have been learning about Emotive Language. Emotive language are words that make you feel a strong emotion. We are learning about emotive langauge because we have to write persuasive speech. Emotive langauge helps make someone agree with us.

I did well at staying on task. I need to improve on working with others. I enjoyed getting help from someone.
